How does Nuva's testing process work?

Every production batch is sampled across multiple vials and sent to an independent, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory. The lab verifies four parameters: purity (by HPLC), identity (by mass spectrometry), concentration (quantitative), and endotoxins (by LAL). Only when all four parameters pass acceptance criteria does the batch earn the Nuva Verified designation, and the full Certificate of Analysis is published to our public COA library.

What do the numbers on a Certificate of Analysis actually mean?

A COA reports four values that matter most. Purity (the percentage of the sample that is the target compound). Identity (confirmation that the compound matches its expected molecular profile). Concentration (the measured active content). Date (when the test was performed). The Batch Number on the COA must match the batch code on your vial. If they do not match, the COA is not for your product.

What is the QR code on my vial?

Every Nuva vial ships with a QR code printed on the label. Scan it with your phone and you land on the Certificate of Analysis for that exact batch. No searching, no account login, the document your specific vial was tested against in under 30 seconds.

How do I verify my batch COA manually?

Locate the batch code on your vial label. Every Nuva batch code begins with “NV-” followed by an alphanumeric code. Visit our COA library and enter that exact batch code in the search bar. The matching Certificate of Analysis will appear for download. Cross-reference the batch number on the document against the code on your vial before reviewing the results.

What makes Nuva's testing different from other suppliers?

Three things. First, we sample multiple vials from every batch, not a single vial representing an entire production run. Second, we test across four parameters including endotoxins, not just purity. Third, every COA is published publicly by batch and linked via QR code on every vial. Verification is built into the product itself, not separated from it.

What happens if a batch doesn't pass testing?

Batches that fail any acceptance criterion are rejected and do not enter the catalog. Failed batches are documented internally and never released for sale.

What testing does your BAC Water go through?

Our Bacteriostatic Water undergoes USP 71 sterility testing in addition to standard identity and concentration verification. USP 71 is a pharmacopeial standard that goes beyond typical industry practice for BAC Water.

Which labs do you use for testing?

Our current testing partners include Freedom Analytics, Vanguard Laboratory, and Ethos Analytics (ISO/IEC 17025 accredited). The testing laboratory is named on every Certificate of Analysis we publish.

Are Nuva products intended for human or animal use?

No. All Nuva products are sold strictly as research materials for in-vitro and pre-clinical laboratory research. They are not approved by the FDA, not intended for human or animal consumption, and not intended for use as a drug, food additive, cosmetic, or household chemical. By purchasing, you acknowledge you are a licensed researcher operating in a properly equipped laboratory environment.

Can your team advise me on how to use a compound in my research?

We cannot. Nuva has no visibility into your research protocols, institutional context, or experimental design, and due to legal regulations around research compounds, we do not provide guidance on product usage outside of storage-related questions. Storage guidance is available on individual product pages and in this FAQ. For research-design and usage questions, consult the peer-reviewed literature or your institution's research lead.

What's the difference between lyophilized, dry-fill, and liquid research formats?

Lyophilized products are peptides supplied as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed vial. They require reconstitution with a suitable solvent such as bacteriostatic water before use. Dry-fill products are pre-measured research units supplied in a dry format, ready for direct use in research protocols that require discrete fixed quantities. Liquid products are supplied pre-dissolved at a specified concentration and are ready for immediate research application. Choice of format depends on your protocol. Lyophilized offers longer shelf life, dry-fill offers pre-measured consistency, liquid eliminates a preparation step.

Do I need BAC Water to work with your lyophilized products?

Lyophilized products require reconstitution with a suitable solvent before use. Bacteriostatic Water is the most common choice for research protocols because it is sterility-tested and contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic agent. Our BAC Water goes through USP 71 sterility testing and is available in the Reconstitution category of our catalog.

What is the difference between similar compounds (e.g., Semax vs. N-Acetyl-Semax)?

N-acetylated analogs are chemically modified versions of their parent compound where an acetyl group has been added to the peptide structure. This modification can alter the compound's stability, half-life, and receptor interaction profile in research contexts. Which version is appropriate for your study depends on the specific research question. Consult the published literature for your research area.

What is the purity of your products?

Nuva compounds are ≥99% purity by default, measured by HPLC. Each Certificate of Analysis shows the exact purity value for that specific batch. If you receive a product whose COA shows purity below 98%, contact us. This is outside our standard and we will review.

Do you carry products that are not listed publicly?

Our public catalog represents the products we currently ship with published COAs. Some products in our catalog are available only to logged-in account holders. New products are added regularly and announced via our email list and the Coming Soon tab on the homepage. For specialized research requests outside the public catalog, contact us. We occasionally source on demand for established research partners.

Can I get Saturday delivery?

Yes, for FedEx 2-Day orders placed by 2:00 PM CST on Thursday. Saturday delivery is automatic when the transit timeline lands on a weekend. You do not need to select it separately. Please note that Saturday delivery is not available in all areas. Availability is determined by FedEx and is outside our control.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship within the United States only at this time. International shipping is on our roadmap. Join our email list to be notified when new regions open.

How do I track my order?

A FedEx tracking number is emailed to you the moment your order ships. You can also view tracking for all your orders from the Orders tab in My Account.

What happens if my package is lost or damaged in transit?

Email our support team with your order number. Packages lost or damaged in transit are replaced. Packages marked delivered by the carrier but not received by the customer require Shipping Insurance (available at checkout) to qualify for replacement. Shipping Insurance also accelerates replacement handling for time-sensitive orders.

How is my order packaged?

Orders ship in discreet, unmarked outer packaging. Internal packaging is protective. The outer label contains only the shipping carrier's required information.

Do I need an account to place an order?

Not for most products. Guest checkout is available for the public catalog. An account gives you saved addresses, order history, faster future checkout, and access to login-only compounds when they are available.

How do I change or cancel my order?

Cancellations are accepted within 2 hours of order placement, provided the order has not yet shipped. Email our support team immediately with your order number. Outside of that window, cancelled orders are subject to a 10% restocking fee. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled, modified, or returned (All Sales Final policy).

How do I access my order history?

Sign in to your account and go to Orders. Every order is listed with its status and tracking.

Can I save my payment details for next time?

No. In order to maintain a high security site, we never see or store your full card number.

I forgot my password, how do I reset it?

Click “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page. Enter your email and we send a reset link immediately. Links expire after 24 hours for security. If the reset email does not arrive, check your spam folder or email support.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit card (Visa, Mastercard), Zelle (5% off), Cash App (5% off), and Bitcoin via BTCPay (10% off). All four methods are available at checkout.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Card transactions are processed by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment partner. We never store full card numbers on our servers. The site itself runs on Cloudflare enterprise security, and all pages are served over HTTPS.

Why do Zelle, Cash App, and Bitcoin payments get a discount?

These methods have lower processing costs than card payments, and we pass the savings back to researchers who use them. Zelle and Cash App each offer 5% off the order total. Bitcoin via BTCPay offers 10% off.

When is my card charged?

At the time you place the order. Note that once a card charge has settled, merchant processing fees apply, which is why our returns policy includes a restocking fee on cancelled orders.

Can I combine payment methods on a single order?

Each order uses one payment method at checkout. If you need to split a larger order across methods, email our support team and we can structure the order accordingly.

Do you offer institutional invoicing or net terms?

For verified research institutions placing bulk orders, we offer invoicing with Net-15 terms. Email us with your institution name and purchasing contact to begin the approval process.

How should I store lyophilized peptides?

Lyophilized peptides should be stored at -20 degrees C or below, in a dry environment away from direct light. Lyophilization removes water, which slows nearly all degradation pathways, but temperature still matters for long-term stability. Do not store lyophilized product in hot temperatures for extended periods.

How should I store reconstituted peptides?

Once reconstituted, peptides should be stored in single-use aliquots. Reconstituted material is far more susceptible to degradation from repeated freeze-thaw cycles, hydrolysis, and oxidation than lyophilized material. Dividing into single-use portions immediately after reconstitution is the advised storage practice.

How long can I keep reconstituted material at 2-8 degrees C?

Working solutions kept at refrigerated temperatures (2-8 degrees C) should generally be used within 30 days depending on the compound. For longer storage, the solution should be aliquoted and frozen. Refer to the product page for compound-specific guidance.

What is the shelf life of your lyophilized products?

Lyophilized peptides typically carry a shelf life of YEARS when stored properly in a sealed vial. Specific shelf-life details vary by product.

How should I store air dispersal sprays?

Nuva air dispersal spray products are pre-mixed and can be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. They do not require reconstitution. Check the individual product for compound-specific storage details.

Does the Nuva guarantee require proper storage?

Yes. The $150 match-or-refund guarantee requires independent testing within 30 days of purchase and assumes proper storage throughout. Variations in test results from improperly stored material cannot be attributed to the original product, so improper storage disqualifies a guarantee claim.

What is your returns policy?

Due to the nature of our products and services, we do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges once a purchase has been completed. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that all purchases are non-refundable. Please review all product information, descriptions, and pricing carefully before completing your purchase. If you have any questions prior to ordering, we encourage you to contact us so we can assist you.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, within 2 hours of placement, provided the order has not yet shipped. Email our support team immediately with your order number. Cancellations before shipment are subject to a 10% restocking fee (covers card-processing fees on settled transactions) if it has been longer than 2 hours. Once the order has shipped, cancellations are not accepted.

What if the order has already shipped and I need to reverse it?

Shipped orders are non-refundable under the standard policy. In limited cases we may accept a reversal at our discretion, in which case a 10% restocking fee plus the original shipping cost will apply, and the customer is responsible for return shipping. Contact support to discuss.

What if my product doesn't match the Certificate of Analysis?

Submit the product to an ISO-accredited independent laboratory for testing within 30 days of purchase. If the results do not match the COA we published for your batch, we issue a full refund plus $150 in store credit. This is the Nuva Match-or-Refund Guarantee. The customer selects the accredited laboratory. We do not require use of a Nuva-affiliated lab.

Do you offer exchanges?

No. Exchanges are not offered. If you placed the order within the last 2 hours and it has not shipped, you can reach out to our service team for an adjustment or cancel the order and place a new order for the correct product. Once shipped, orders are non-exchangeable.

What if I ordered the wrong format or strength?

Double-check format, strength, and quantity before checkout. Product pages list the exact specifications for each variant. If the order has not shipped and you are within the 2-hour cancellation window, email support immediately. Orders that have shipped are subject to the All Sales Final policy.

How does the Kit of 10 work?

Kit pricing applies automatically on every peptide, no code needed. Save 20% on a Kit of 10 – buy ten vials of the same compound and the kit price drops in at checkout. Each product page also has a featured “Kit of 10” purchase option that sets quantity to 10 in one click. Kit pricing applies at the single-product level: the tiers count your quantity of that specific compound, not your total cart.

Can I mix different compounds to qualify for Kit pricing?

No. Kit pricing is a per-compound discount. Five vials of Compound A plus five vials of Compound B is not a Kit of 10. It is five of one and five of the other, priced independently. This keeps the discount tied to actual bulk-per-compound purchasing, which is what the pricing is designed to reward.

Do you offer a discount for research institutions?

Yes. Verified research institutions placing regular bulk orders can qualify for institutional pricing and invoicing with Net-15 terms. Email us with your institution name and purchasing contact to begin the approval process.

What is the Nuva loyalty rewards program?

Every purchase earns points redeemable for savings on future orders, early access to new compounds, and member-only promotions. Join from the “Loyalty Rewards” section on the homepage or from your account dashboard. Points accrue automatically once enrolled.

What is the Give $30, Get $30 referral program?

Share your unique referral link with another researcher. When they place their first Nuva order, they save $30 and we credit $30 to your account. Your referral dashboard is in My Account under Rewards and Referrals. Credits apply automatically to your next order.

How do I use a discount or coupon code?

Enter the code in the “Have a coupon?” field on the checkout page. Most standing discounts (Kit pricing, payment-method discounts) apply automatically without a code.

Can I combine multiple discounts?

Most standing discounts stack automatically: Kit pricing, payment-method discount, and loyalty rewards. Promotional coupon can apply on top of these, but specific codes may have exclusions noted at time of issue. Welcome codes (15% off first order) cannot be combined with other one-time promotional codes.
